Job Description

A Jack and Bore Foreman oversees and directs the installation of
underground infrastructure, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently,
and within budget, while managing crews and equipment. 

Key Responsibilities of a Jack and Bore Foreman:

• Project Planning and Execution:
• Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets. 
• Coordinate with managers
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. 
• Crew Supervision and Management:
• Supervise and direct the work of jack and bore crews. 
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure quality of work. 
• Train and mentor crew members on safety procedures and job techniques. 

Safety Management:

• Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and procedures. 
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits. 
• Ensure all crew members are properly trained and equipped for safety. 

Equipment Operation and Maintenance:

• Operate and maintain jack and bore equipment and machinery. 
• Ensure equipment is in good working order and properly maintained. 
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues as needed. 

Communication and Documentation:

• Maintain clear and accurate records of project progress and activities. 
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders. 
• Prepare reports and documentation as required. 

Problem Solving:

• Identify and resolve potential problems or issues that may arise during the project. 
• Develop and implement solutions to ensure project success. 

Qualifications

• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and on-call shifts.
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance with DOT, FRA and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding evnironments
• Railroad experience is a plus but not required.
• CDL is a plus but not required
• 2+ years of experience with Jack & Bore machine
• 2+ years of supervisory experience
