Job Description

The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Retail leads the optimization of branch and remote services to drive deposit, loan originations and member growth. The SVP guides retail banking strategies, enhances operational efficiency, fosters a member-centric culture, and develops talent while supporting growth and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Business Growth:

Develop and execute roadmaps to drive membership growth and operational efficiency while maintaining a member-focused culture.

Champion strategies that enhance channels financial performance as measured by core deposits and loan originations, in alignment with mission and risk framework.

Operational Excellence & Process Optimization:

Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and automation.

Implement best practices and ensure regulatory compliance across Retail operations.

Member-Centric Service & Experience Enhancement:

Promote superior member experiences across all channels.

Utilize analytics and insights to improve services and anticipate market trends.

Talent Development & Leadership:

Foster a high-performing, inclusive workforce with strong employee engagement and development.

Align organizational goals and strategic initiatives with team objectives.

Financial & Stakeholder Management:

Manage budgets and align financial objectives with Sunwards strategic priorities.

Represent industry discussions and provide strategic insights to the leadership team.

Education & Experience:

15+ years of experience in driving organizational results across multiple business units.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (advanced degree/certifications preferred).

This role is a critical leadership position, requiring a forward-thinking, results-driven executive who can both guide strategic direction and ensure operational excellence across the organizations retail and member services functions. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in financial services, retail operations, and team development, with the ability to drive significant growth while maintaining a strong focus on the member experience.
