Job Description

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for people development and the overall warehouse and delivery operations. This role has a broad range of responsibility in store operations and reports directly to the Owner.

What your day will look like:

• Assists in the hiring, training and retaining of high-quality team members who exhibit our values.
• Leads warehouse team to ensure highest level of customer service standards are executed in home deliveries.
• Provides feedback and innovative ideas to build a more profitable warehouse operation.
• Ensures proper execution of best practices related to delivery preparation and process.
• Assists in managing warehouse payroll within budgeted guidelines.
• Oversees unloading/loading of inbound and outbound merchandise.
• Increases completion of home delivery rate by utilizing best practices.
• Monitor Shipping and Receiving to warehouse.

What will help you succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of warehouse, delivery, or distribution leadership experience.
• Experience in Mattress or Furniture businesses is a plus but not required.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and team members.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Proven experience in strategic and organizational development, including the ability to attract, develop and retain best in class talent.
• Proficient in business related technology systems.
• Track record of servant leadership; serving others and putting team goals first.
• Owners’ mindset: takes ownership over everything within scope of responsibility while still empowering others to do the same.
• Proactive approach; identifies and solves problems.
• Adaptability; flexible to changing market forces and shifting priorities.
• Experience managing change in large and complex environments.
