Job Description

We are seeking committed and passionate expanded learning instructors to change the future of students by leading academic, physical, and enrichment activities as part of our team at Caliber Beta Academy in Richmond, Ca. As a group leader, you will lead and mentor up to 20 youth in an expanded learning setting. Be part of an innovative and creative team that impacts the community, makes the world a better place, and provides equity in education.Our ideal candidate may have previous experience babysitting or nannying, is pursuing a career in education or early childhood development.

• Pay rate: $22 per hour
• Hours per week: 15 hours, plus PD

Minimum Requirements

• Must have an (a) Associate Degree or higher, or (b) 48 or more college units, or (c) High School Diploma or GED and pass Instructional Aide exam
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Ability to reliably commute to Richmond

• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain the emotional well-being of the students.

• Provide a safe environment

• Be a positive role model for struggling students

• Have fun engaging students in lesson plans that support school day learning

• Run community circles based on restorative practices

• Ability to collaborate with youth to support their learning and development (youth driven curriculum)

• Ability to model BACR Best Practices as shown in our website
